This is an online lecture, open to the public and it will highlight the latest archaeological findings from recent Center for Big Bend Studies projects. From establishing the earliest human presence to the first domesticated plant use in the Big Bend region, the Center’s research has found evidence of a rich Indigenous record of adaptation to the changing Chihuahuan Desert. This talk will cover recent archaeological findings and the importance of this research, and future opportunities for students and researchers with the Center for Big Bend Studies.
