Staff at the Center finished a 12 day field session with the University of Kansas in mid June, bringing the main excavation at the GLD site to a close. All the remaining Late Paleoindian features were taken out and a very deep hole was dug to find Clovis aged sediments. The Center is now waiting for the results. A huge thank you to the Odyssey (OARF) crew for helping the Center and a thank you Lykes Bros Inc!
The Center staff are in the last week of work at the San Esteban Rockshelter with KU. It has been a very productive field session and we are going to learn a lot! — with Bryon Schroeder and Eden Meadows.
