The Ellen Sue Turner Memorial Fund has been established by the CBBS to honor her for her many contributions to Texas archaeology.
She was very passionate about research and educational pursuits in this field, and this initiative would be another way
her name and legacy would continue to contribute to the study of Texas archaeology.
This Memorial Fund, endorsed by Ellen Sue’s children as a way to honor their mother, will help support summer archaeological intern positions at the CBBS.
Summer interns have assisted the CBBS in the past and we anticipate using additional ones in coming years. Intern positions provide
mutually beneficial arrangements for students and sponsors; that is, they allow continuing and hands-on learning opportunities
for students while assisting the sponsors with work in the field and laboratory. Such opportunities are truly win-win!
Donations to the fund can be made online at the CBBS Store or by mail-in form.
